Taking action as part of Rural Road Safety Month 2023
Did you know around 65% of fatalities on NSW roads happen on country roads?

Now in its 6th year, Rural Road Safety Month is a national awareness campaign targeting rural and regional road safety. It’s run by the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF) throughout September.
This community-based road safety initiative is designed to highlight the additional risks faced when travelling on country roads such as different road conditions, high speeds, bad weather and wildlife. It encourages people to take personal responsibility and action through the theme ‘be the change you want to see on the road’.
Get involved!
Get your community, workplace or school involved by hosting an activity, event, or awareness campaign. For a copy of the communications toolkit email the Towards Zero team. It includes information and communications materials to engage and educate your community on the initiative.
